On March 13, 2020, I spent thirty-six minutes on episode 141 of Toaden's Media Litter Sandwich podcast, talking all about chip implants.
The episode notes made the case for why I was the guest: if you've done any research on getting an RFID chip for keyless entry or some other purpose, "There is a good chance you came across the company Dangerous Things." We covered the controversies of getting chipped, and I walked through the difference between my two companies: Dangerous Things, the transponder shop, and VivoKey, which the episode notes call "the more secure" of the two. That's fair shorthand. Dangerous Things sells identifiers and the tools around them; VivoKey builds cryptographic identity, the same split I'd been explaining since VivoKey's London debut two years earlier.
March 13, 2020, as it happens, was also the day a national emergency was declared in the United States over COVID-19. Podcasts published that week carry a certain time-capsule quality; this one is no exception.
