On August 18, 2017, developer Adam Milton-Barker published a forty-four-minute interview with me under a title that doubled as a mission statement: "Biohacking & RFID chips: Learn the facts!"

Milton-Barker carries a chip in his own hand. He's an IoT and AI developer who had written up his experiments using the implant to communicate with his devices and applications, not a journalist parachuting into the weird-implant beat. His framing of the problem was blunt: "The media seems determined to use the fear factor of biohacking to boost their ratings," leaving "many people around the world that have been misinformed about the technology." The stated goal of the interview was to "debunk the false information and fear mongering that is being spread around the internet by the media, and provide facts about exactly what the technology does."

After a decade of fielding mark-of-the-beast mail and tracking-chip panics, an interviewer whose opening position was "let's just explain what the chip actually does" made for a comfortable forty-four minutes.
