On May 5, 2018, RT's digital side published "Making of a BIOHACKER," a profile of me running two minutes and nineteen seconds.

RT, formerly Russia Today, is per Wikipedia's lead sentence "a Russian state-controlled international news television network funded by the Russian government." By 2018 the implant story had already been told on American, Canadian, Australian, German, and French television, so a Russian state network taking its two minutes read less like a milestone than another box checked on the atlas.

The timing makes for a contrast the archive preserves nicely: the next month I sat for a sixty-six-minute podcast conversation about implanted identity, while the broadcast-and-social world was compressing the same story into clips you could finish in an elevator. The archive keeps everything, and this one is a data point in how far the story had traveled from a garage in Washington state.
