In late August 2025, Peter H. Diamandis published a short on his YouTube channel titled "I Just Got an RFID Chip Implanted." A month later came a companion short showing the installation itself. The chip in question: a VivoKey Apex.

Diamandis, a Greek-American engineer, physician, and entrepreneur, hosts the MOONSHOTS podcast, a show about technological advancements with guests along the lines of Elon Musk, Cathie Wood, and Eric Schmidt. For twenty years, the standard demo in this field was me tapping my own hand on things. The technology showing up in other people's hands, including hands that host shows about the future, is the point. Both clips are brief: forty seconds and just over two minutes.
